Bio
Madeleine Blakely is a self-taught artist from the Southern United States. She has always loved art but started pursuing illustration in her 20s after completing a Voice Performance degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently based in Tennessee.
Madeleine works in colored pencil, layering to create vibrate colors and complex textures. She is passionate about her art being in peoples homes. She creates magical alphabets and custom letters for homes and classrooms. As an illustrator, Madeleine is enthusiastic about whimsical stories with folkloric and mythological elements. She loves bringing stories to life about non-conventional families and the difficult and magical parts of life.
